Creative movement & Storytelling

MOndays - 2.30pm-3.20pm
September 9th-December 2nd
Open to JK/K students

This is a story-based class, and students explore new concepts in exciting and creative ways, including weekly games, costume pieces, and props. Our curriculum sets the most beloved fairy tales to music and dance. Students are encouraged to use their imaginations as they become a part of the stories.

BALLET I CLASS

MONdays - 3.30pm-4.20pm

September 9th-December 2nd

Open to 1st-4th grade students

Students develop basic ballet technique, emphasizing the five positions. Ballerinas practice posture and utilize core muscles while practicing pliés, tendu variations, and center work that involves gross motor skills. Students practice basic ballet technique through both barre and center work. Ballerinas learn postures, steps, and choreography of traditional ballet. Ballet exercises and routines emphasize vocabulary and dance etiquette. Like all classes, dancers explore creative expression and musicality.  Although very different than tap, we encourage students to pair this class along with Tap Class.
