UKULELE

Mondays - 3:15pm-4:15pm

Open to 1st-3rd grade students

This class will cover technique, notes, chords, and strumming to foster little ukulele players! The ukulele is very similar to the guitar but with fewer strings and gentler on small fingers. We’ll learn songs that everyone loves! Join your friends and start jamming on the ukulele! Students will perform a short concert for family and friends at the end of the semester.
Program cost includes folder/music; does not include the cost of ukulele.

Violin lesson

VIOLIN CLASS: LEVEL I

September 10th-November 12th
Open to 3rd-5th grade students

Violin Class: Level 1 is open to any rising Grade 3 through Grade 5 student who would like to learn to play the violin. Students will learn fundamentals of posture, violin sound production, and how to read formal music notation. Curriculum is rooted in traditional and classical methods and mixed together with engaging activities. Class will focus on sight-reading, rhythmic independence, and language development, along with phrasing and overall musicality. Students will showcase a short performance for family and friends at the end of the semester.

Guitar Class

Students will learn the basics of guitar through the introduction of reading and fun music exercises. Students will learn chords, strumming patterns, scales, guitar notations and more! Classes are fun and educational! Our class will perform a short concert for family and friends at the end of the semester. Tuition includes folder/music; does not include the cost of guitar.

MusicFun! is an early childhood program that explores movement, music, andliterature. Students explore rhythm and movement together through great stories,beautiful songs, and fun instruments. Students are encouraged to sing old favorites and new melodies while discovering body awareness. Children have time to bond with each other in educational and creative ways.

PRIMER VIOLIN CLASS

Primer Violin Class is open to any rising Grade 1 through Grade 2 student who would like to learn to play the violin. This class will be rooted in traditional and classical methods and mixed together with lots of fun games. Violin students learn the basics of posture, bow-hold technique, and tone production. Students will work together on foundational skills. Students will learn how to read basic formal music notation, all while learning how to play the violin! Class focus will include intonation and age-appropriate sight-reading, and the development of rhythmic independence, phrasing, and overall musicality through movement, singing, and playing. Students will gain valuable experiences exploring and playing music with others. Primer Violin Class will showcase a short performance for family and friends at the end of the semester. (Violins will be available to rent).
